Our Psyche Program
The Psyche Program is a planned specialized educational pathway at the Grey School of Wizardry. This initiative is designed to offer a youth-centered educational experience and is slated to launch in winter 2024. It aims to equip young apprentices aged 11-17 with an array of skills, knowledge, and practices that contemporary wizards find invaluable. Crafted with academic rigor and a commitment to active engagement, the program plans to serve as a robust head-start for those aspiring to advance their wizardry studies into adulthood, or for those seeking to cultivate essential life skills.
Program Objectives

To Instill Foundational Knowledge: The program emphasizes the development of soft skills including critical thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving capabilities.

Curriculum Structure
The Psyche Program is a condensed yet potent version of Grey School's curriculum enriched by the following conceptual pillars:

Mentor Guidance: Upon request, experienced wizards provide focused one-on-two mentorship sessions designed to augment both theoretical understanding and practical skills for both youth apprentices and their guardians.

Parental Courses: Every module includes a corresponding section specifically curated for parents or guardians, thereby enabling them to actively contribute to their child’s educational experience.
Assessments
A multi-faceted assessment model forms the backbone of the program. It features written exams, practical demonstrations, and project-based assignments. Each assessment mechanism is meticulously designed to gauge an apprentice's mastery over both the technical aspects of wizardry and the vital soft skills.
Credits and Certification
Upon successful program completion, apprentices accrue 12 credits, applicable toward their Journeymen Letter. These credits can be carried over into their adult wizardry studies, post-18th birthday, as well as a certificate of completion.

Our Psyche Program is an initiative designed to equip young apprentices aged 11-17 with a robust set of insights and skills necessary to the trade of Wizardry. This youth focused program provides a comprehensive, family-centric learning experience, offering parents/guardians the opportunity to be involved in their child's education. The Psyche Program also serves as a head-start pathway for future studies by offering 12 credits toward a Journeymen letter, creating a long-term educational investment for a richer, more meaningful future.

Our Apprenticeship Program
Inspired by the revered traditions found in the academies of yore, the Grey School's Apprenticeship Program is an immersive seven-tier system of study that not only explores but also prepares the participant for an active role in the Trade of Contemporary Wizardry.
As an Apprentice, you embark on a transformative journey through our seven levels of study, acquiring along the way the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to navigate and utilize the trade of Wizardry in the modern world. The first level, or 'Year', mandates the completion of 12 credits, while each subsequent year from 2 to 7 requires 26 credits. During their second year, Apprentices have the opportunity to specialize, choosing a Major and Minor from our list of sixteen diverse Departments.
Upon successful completion of the program, Apprentices earn the esteemed title of 'Journeyman' in their chosen field of study, signified by a distinguished certificate.
The Grey School operates on a flexible, 'Work at your own pace' model, promoting a learning environment that hinges on the individual's motivation and passion. Each completed lesson and class mark the development of a potent form of magic - the mastery over one's own learning and growth.
Beyond pure academics, an apprenticeship at the Grey School offers a journey of personal discovery and growth. Our students are offered a deep dive into the fascinating trade of Wizardry, learning its secrets and exploring diverse models of Magick. They delve into the annals of History, demystify the principles of Alchemy, and cultivate crucial soft skills such as Conflict Resolution and Leadership. They dive deep into a universe of hidden wisdom, acquire knowledge to protect and shield through esoteric arts, and even learn to create their own unique tools for mystical exploration, among a host of other fascinating experiences.

In joining GSW as an Apprentice you'll progress through a structured curriculum, mastering a spectrum of topics and skills, and culminating in a Journeyman certificate. As an Apprentice, you will be part of an enriching learning environment, fostering personal growth and a deep understanding of the unseen world.

Our Magister Program
The Grey School's Magister Program is a distinctive learning path designed specifically for the curious.
This program is an ideal choice for those who wish to delve into the extensive knowledge we offer, without adhering to the structure of an Apprenticeship program. It's an excellent fit for individuals who already possess a significant understanding of esoteric subjects, as well as those who are driven by specific areas of interest.
While the Apprenticeship and Magister programs both offer access to the Grey School's wide spectrum of knowledge, they each cater to different educational needs and learning styles, offering their own unique benefits.
The Apprenticeship program is designed as a structured, comprehensive journey that guides learners through a curated curriculum, providing a well-rounded understanding of esoteric disciplines. It's perfect for individuals who appreciate guidance and enjoy the progress of a well-defined path, ultimately leading to a Journeyman Certificate in their chosen field of study.
On the other hand, the Magister program provides a more flexible approach. Its primary benefit lies in the freedom it offers learners to delve into specific areas of interest without the requirements of a structured curriculum. This is particularly beneficial for those who already possess foundational knowledge in certain areas, allowing them to further specialize and deepen their understanding.
As noted before, the Grey School's Magister program also offers those inclined to take up it's call an optimal learning path for your unique interests, as it allows you to handpick classes that are directly aligned with your specific passions, outside the confines of majors or minors. This kind of tailored learning experience can be incredibly rewarding and fulfilling, fostering a more personalized connection with the material.
Please note that while Magisters enjoy a great degree of freedom in their learning journey, there are certain aspects of the Grey School experience that are specific to the Apprenticeship program. These include the potential to receive a Journeyman Certificate, enrollment in the Wizardry 100-799B Class Series, and eligibility for Apprentice Leadership positions. However, these distinctions do not detract from the rich and rewarding learning experience that the Magister Program offers.
